Points wins - à Rebours.
An annual anthology in 365 pictures
For a few weeks we will make our rooms available as a studio. The special feature of this support for artists resident in or coming from the region is to offer the artist an experimental space and a public forum.
Siegfried Hentke presents a cycle of 356 drawings on which he has been working over the last few years. The framed works in DIN A4 format extend in two rows across the walls of the Kunstverein in chronological order. For his anthology Hentke uses found objects from the plant and animal world. He also uses historical poetry material from France as a formal and substantive "background" for his surreal drawings.
Parallel to this complex graphic collage novel, large-format pointillist drawings and five object boxes are on display. The latter expand the thematic range of serial pictorial analogies.
Siegfried Hentke - *1941 in Breslau, studied art in Hannover, lives and works in Nordhorn.
