Khaled Al-Saai: "It is happening there“

For the exhibition "Away From Home" (21.02 - 08.05 2016) the Syrian artist and calligrapher Khaled Al-Saai created a 3 x 10 m mural in January 2016, which documents the Syrian conflict with the pictorial means of painting, photo collage and calligraphy.
Khaled Al Saai says of the work: "It is a kind of a visual documentary of the conflict. In my mural work I'll try to rebuild home according to my memory and future dream, but at the same time to present my anger and pain for what is going on there.
The mural has been included in the current work of each of the following artists.
Because of its topicality, it will now again be the focus of attention for a short time.
In addition, there will be a film documentary in which Khaled Al-Saai talks about his work, as well as a slide show on the creation of the mural.
