For the anniversary '25 years Kunstverein Grafschaft Bentheim' and at the same time last exhibition project under the direction of Gudrun Thiessen-Schneider, the artist Yoana Tuzharova developed a room and light installation, which refers to formal and thematic aspects of the Kunstverein's exhibition rooms.
The title 'Hang this up and align it' also says something about her approach, because for Yoana Tuzharova, the open and at the same time closed form of the staggered exhibition rooms has the formal potential to be a work of art itself.
She illustrates this surprising change of perspective (architecture and art) through simple interventions. The rooms are closed, cannot be entered and can only be viewed through an opening. What appears is light space and image at the same time.
Yoana Tuzharova was born in 1986 in Russe (Bulgaria) and studied 'Art in Public Space' from 2013-2018 with Professor Maik and Dirk Löbbert at the Academy of Art in Münster. She lives and works in Cologne and Münster.
Her Environment Warmlight in Münsterschen Hafenweg has become well known.
