Balx/Ellen Korth - NU 01
An exhibition in cooperation with the county of Grafschaft Bentheim, the Städtische Galerie Nordhorn and the city of Nordhorn at four exhibition locations.

Introduction Thomas Kern. In cooperation with the International Summer Academy for Chamber Music Lower Saxony, the Moscow String Quartet will perform Beethoven's String Quartet No. 11 in F minor op. 95.
What is special about the project is not only that four neighboring institutions are coming together, but also that the works of the artist duo combine with motifs and content from the region.
Ellen Korth and Balx (Harald Balke) came to the county many years ago, so they are newcomers. They would like to present how they perceive the county from their own personal artistic point of view by dealing with the people living in the county. At the Kunstverein they are showing large-format portraits of their friends, thus reflecting the spectrum of their connections to people inside and outside of Grafschaft Bentheim.
In total, both artists are showing about 50 works each in both exhibition sequences.
The exhibition is accompanied by the book NU 01, published by Schaden Verlag.
