Thekla Ehling, *1968, lives and works in Cologne. She completed her studies at the FH Dortmund and graduated with a diploma under Gisela Scheidler and Arno Fischer. The Kunstverein showed theatre photographs by Gisela Scheidler in 1997.
"With a childhood full of love you can endure a whole life". (Jean Paul) Never has the sensation of time been so intense and long as in childhood. The days seemed endless. Whether in summer or winter, time was filled with games and discoveries, visits to grandparents, showers in the outdoor pool, hiking in the forest, building snowmen and ghost stories. Thekla Ehling documents such childhood experiences in this exhibition. She accompanied her daughters with her camera for more than ten years.
