…Seit Jahrzehnten ist Thomas Wegmann in seinem Werk der ganz leisen Töne den Fragen universeller Ursprünglichkeit auf der Spur. Mit seinem technisch vielschichtigen Werk aus Rauminstallationen, Land-Art-Projekten, Materialbildern, Öl- und Aquarellmalereien, Skulpturen und Objekten für den öffentlichen Raum stellt er dem Spektakel und der Hektik des rasanten Wandels, des technischen Fortschritts und der schnellen bunten Bilder des Alltags mit der langwierigen temporären Veränderung eine Form der Langsamkeit bewusst in den Weg. http://www.thomaswegmann.de

...For decades Thomas Wegmann has been on the trail of questions of universal originality in his work of very quiet tones. With his technically complex oeuvre of spatial installations, land art projects, material paintings, oil and watercolour paintings, sculptures and objects for public spaces, he consciously places a form of slowness in the way of the spectacle and the hectic pace of rapid change, technical progress and the fast, colourful images of everyday life with its protracted temporary changes. www.thomaswegmann.de
