As a result of the civil war, Kheir Eddin Obeid also left his Syrian hometown Aleppo in 2014. From February 2015 he was given the opportunity to work as a guest at the Kunstverein Grafschaft Bentheim. Parallel to Away from Home, the Kunstverein is now showing a selection of his paintings and sculptures created there. They too establish a connection to recent events in and around Syria. Parallel to "Away from Home"

Parallel 32: Frank Bolink

Born in Enschede in 1943, Frank Bolink studied architecture at the AKI Enschede and worked as an interior designer from 1964 and as a lecturer at the AKI Enschede from 1988.
Bolink is a painter, sculptor, furniture maker, ceramist and has produced several works for public spaces. Lives in Nordhorn. Parallel to "Vanessa Safavi"
"Parallel" is supported by the city of Neuenhaus.
